Hello, I’m Miguel. I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counselor / Therapist. My approach to counseling is focused on communication to narratively and experientially improve how we see and understand the problems we face with each other. I like to focus on the whole person by externalizing the situation, and addressing the problem from a mind, body and soul perspective to increase satisfaction in your life. Becoming your authentic self is the goal, I can help you achieve that.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. I am a United States Military Veteran and have served on Active Duty, Reserves, and in the Guard. I have a Bachelor’s in Information Systems Management from Grand Valley State University and have experience working in executive level positions. Additionally, I have an Associate’s in Audio Engineering. This education allows me to integrate multimedia into treatment occasionally. Outside of Jeni’s House, I am a Women’s, Veterans, LGBT, and Multicultural Advocate. I sit on many committees and work to improve social systems to improve quality of life for all.
I’m looking forward to walking alongside you on your journey and helping you to rekindle your light and craft your story!
